The NAMO Manifesto

TECHNOLOGY
TO SAVE US FROM
OVERTOURISM:
THE WORLD ISN’T
JUST CONTENT.
IT’S YOUR HOME.

We want to help people experience more of the REAL world.

Every place has a capacity, a memory and someone who cares for it.

NAMO exists to create curiosity without consuming what makes that curiosity possible.

42°29′N · THE REAL WORLD

01

AUTHENTIC, OR NOTHING.

Every experience begins with something real: a place, a story, a person, a detail. Technology may open the door. It cannot invent the value behind it.

02

THE PLACE IS THE PROTAGONIST.

We do not build scenery over a territory. We listen to what is already there. Storytelling should help us look closer, never turn a place into a backdrop.

03

NATURE HAS LIMITS.

Trails, habitats and landscapes are not levels to consume. We respect closures, seasons, local capacity and the guidance of those who protect them.

04

NOT EVERYONE IN THE SAME PLACE.

We do not want to fuel the rush towards the same destinations. NAMO can spread curiosity across other streets, hours, seasons and places that deserve attention without being overwhelmed.

05

LOCAL PEOPLE COME FIRST.

A territory is not empty while it waits for visitors. We seek experiences that involve local communities, knowledge and businesses, creating value for the people who live there every day.

06

WELLBEING, NOT PERFORMANCE.

Discovery should never become pressure. No dangerous challenges, manipulative mechanics or performance anxiety. Everyone should be free to experience the world at their own pace.

07

TECHNOLOGY KNOWS ITS PLACE.

AI and gamification are tools. They should help people choose, understand and take part. They do not replace sources, manufacture authenticity or steal the scene from the real world.

08

LISTEN. MEASURE. ADAPT.

This manifesto is not a static promise. We will work with partners, communities and people to understand the effects of each experience and change course when needed.
